Are we all a little square in the pants

I sit here realizing that I could be up to something. But instead I am sucked into this machine like water to a sponge. Maybe that is just it, we hear about how kids are such sponges for information when they are young and we assume that this quality goes away when we get older.
Maybe now we just soak up different types of crap.
We turn on the computer and read various information and go from one site to another for what?? I dare not say research, for that is only for times when we are on some sort of deadline.
So are we still sponges? I would say yes.
I love to eat (or drink) random information. Somehow it fills the voids within my head and it makes me laugh to be able to throw this crap around at other people. I guess the question now is when I am throwing this info around, are others soaking it up or does it just hit the floor to be mopped up later.
Anyways, thoughts are good and this may be the answer to my constant ramblings.
